Such a labor of love! My mom suggested I make this quilt for an expecting family who is very close to us. To say I was intimidated is an understatement. This was only my 6th quilt. But Elizabeth Hartman has her finger on my pulse so I took the scraps from a quilt my mom made for my son (all fabric I hand picked, conveniently) and threw caution to the wind. It was challenging and filled with imperfections, but I put my blood sweat and tears into it. This was also the first time I used my own design for the back. It’s an attempt at Josef Albers design.
